The Hawke's Bay Volunteers parade tomorrow, tho Artillery in front of the Theatre Koyal at 2.30 p.m., and the Biflcs at the Protestant Hall at 1.45 p.m., for the purpose of attending the funeral of the late Lieut.-Colonel Lambert at 3 p.m.
Tenders must bo sent in to the Town Clerk's office by noon on Monday for forming part of Havelock road, and for repairs to Goldsmith road.
The share list of the Hawke's Bay Meat Export Company closes at the office of Mr M. B/. Miller, acting secretary, on Monday.
Monday will be observed as a special bank holiday at the various offices of the Bank of New Zealand in commemoration of the twenty-first anniversary of the opening of the bank.
Tho opening of tho United Methodist new school in Carlyle-strecfc will be celebrated by a juvenile service in tho room at 2.30 p.m. to-morrow. On Tuesday next a tea meeting will be held in the same place, after which there will be a public meeting.
A meeting of subscribers to the last Boxing Day races, to consider the question of the disposal of the funds in hand, will
take place at Kelly's Hotel, Hastings, on Wednesday evening next. Battery orders respecting the funeral tomorrow are issued by Captain Garner. A tea meeting and concert in connection with the Spit Presbyterian Church will be held in Mr J. Stuart's warehouse on Tuesday evening next. Shareholders of the South British Insurance Company can obtain dividend warrants for the half-year ended August 31 on application at the company's office. Mr C. L. Margoliouth, the local agent, publishes particulars, terms, &c, of the Mercantile and Bankruptcy Gazette of New Zealand.
