PORT AHURIRI. DEPARTURES. October. 10 —Manaia, p s., for Wairoa. Passengers— Mr and Mrs Powdrell, Messrs Atward, A. Poyzer, O. Monteith, Browne, Ciu- ,- roll, and a number of others. 11 —Boojum, s.s., for Wairoa. Passengers — Mr Hill (Inspector of Schools), and three others. The p.s. Manaia, Captain W. E. Baxter, steamed for the Wairoa shortly after 9 o'clock last night, taking a number of passengers and a large cargo. The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Boojum, Captain Maloney, left for Wairoa at 9.30 a.m. this day, taking passengers and cargo. The s.s. Kiwi, Captain James Campbell, is to leave Wellington at 5 o'clock to-night, and may be expected to arrive her by daylight on Friday morning. By advertisement she is announced to leave again for Wellington at 6 o'clock on Friday night. The ketch Maid of the Mill is discharging general cargo out of the Norman McLeod at the cattle wharf to-day, and the schooner Silver Cloud and Mary Wadley coal at the breastwork. Messrs Shaw Favill and Co.'s barque Xangstone, Captain A. M. Ferguson, left Auckland for this port yesterday, with a part original cargo from London, and may be expected to arrive here within the next few days. After discharging her inward cargo she will be immediately placed on the berth to load produce for London. Messrs Kinross and Co. are her local agents. The s s. Oreti leaves Auckland for Napier to-morrow at 4 p.m.
