Among the through passengers by the Zealandia for San Francisco is Mr Norris Greenwall, of the Quintette Club, who goee to America to bring back further novelties. The Rer. Joseph Cook, tha Boston lecturer, is also a passenger. Hβ delivered a lecture in the Opera House yesterday, during the stay of the steamer, on tbe religious signs of the times. Tbe house was packed to excess. Nearly all the local clergy were on the platform.
Bergeant Anderson, the marker at the rifle range, was hit in the eye while marking yesterday by a piece of a spent bullet. The injury is serious. He was taken to the hospital.
The Zealandia took from here for San Francisco fourteen boxes of gold shipped by the Bank of New Zealand, valued at £59,659, and two boxes of gold shipped by the National Bank of the vai'ie of £1/5,000.
Tawhiao has returned from Whatiwhatihoe from Kawhia. The natives are now anxious to know when Mr Bryce will meet Tawhiao.
