The following is the report of the Union Company's s.s. Wairarapa, which arrived here on Saturday : —Left Port Chalmers on Tuesday, 3rd instant, arriving at Lyttelton at 6 o'clock the next morning ; left same afternoon at 5 o'clock for Wellington, arriving there at 6a.m. next clay - discharged cargo and proceeded on to Napier with the s.s. Rotomahana's passengers and cargo about 7.15 p.m. on the Gth instant, arriving here as above. The outward passengers for Poverty Bay and Auckland did not leave tiil late on Saturday evening, the Wairarapa proceeding on her voyage at 8 o'clock. Tho Union Steamship Company's s.s. Southern Cross, Captain Bernich, left for Gisborue and Auckland at 2 o'clock on ■Saturday afternoon. On her arrival in Auckland she will be taken over by the owners of the Oreti, who have lately purchased her from the Union Company. She is p*. Pr-ted to arrive here again towards the end of the week. The steamer Kiwi left for Wellington on Saturday afternoon, taking a large quantity of wool, tallow, maize, ond preserved meats. The Union Steamship Company's s.s. To Anau, Cnptain M. Carey, brought up in the roadstead early yesterday morning from Poverty Bay and Auckland. She was attended by the Boojum for passengers and mails, and the lighters for cargo. The following is a report of her passage:—Left Auckland at 2 p.m. on the sth instant, arrived at Gisborne at 6 p.m. on the 6th inst.; sailed from Gisborne at 4 p.m. on the 7th inst., and arrived at Napier at daylight on the Bth inst. The passengers for Wellington, Southern ports and Melbourne were taken off: at 10 o'clock yesterday morning, and the steamer- sailed at noon. The s.s. Fairy, Captain Jno. Campbell, returned to port last evening from Blackhead, to which place she returned after putting back to sea last Thursday night. The steamer Oreti, Captain Helnnder, arrived here from Gisborne and Auckland at an early hour this morning, and was brought inside later on and berthed at the cattle wharf, where she discharged her cargo, some 30 tons. She is to take in a cargo of sheep this afternoon, and will leave for Gisborne and Auckland at 4 o'clock. The three-masted schooner Mary Wadley, Captain K. M. Lindfors, arrived in tho roadstead this morning, and was berthed at the breastwork at 11 a.m. She reports having left Newcastle at 6 p.m. on the 27th September, with a moderate westerly breeze ; rounded Cape Farewell at 6 a.m. or the 4th October, and at 4 p.m. the same day met with a fresh S.E. breeze off .ephen's Island, which lasted for three days ; on the Bth October was off Cape Palliser, and at 4 a.m. a southerly breeze sprung up ; passed Castle Point at 4 p.m. the same day, and camo to an anchor at 8 a.m. on the Oth October, after a passage of 11 days and 14 hours. She brings a full cargo of coal consigned to Messrs Charles Dolbel and Co. The p.s. Manaia, Capt. Baxter, will leave for Wairoa at 9 o'clock to-morrow morning, taking passengers and a full cargo, Bhould a favorable report he received about the Wairoa bar this afternoon. The schooner Columbia, Capt. G. Conway, sailed for Whangaroa and Auckland at 11 a.m. this day, taking a part cargo of stores and timber for the former place. The Union Company's launch Boojum is announced to leave for Wairoa at 9 o'clock to-morrow morning.
