September. 29—Manaia, p.s., for Wairoa, with three passengers.

The steamer Maori, Captain H. Anderson, returned from Wairoa at 10.30 o'clock last night, bringing two passengers and about 160 sacks of' maize. She will probably leave again for the same place to-morrow night. The Union Company's s.s. Boojum arrived from Wairoa at 12 o'clock last night, bringing four passengers. The p.s. Manaia, Capt. W. E. Baxter, left for Wairoa at 8.30 a.m. this day, taking a large cargo. The Union Steamship Company s s.s. Ringarooma, Capt. Chatfield, left Auckland at 11 o'clock yesterday morning, with 30 tons of cargo for this port, and will arrive here about 5 o'clock to-morrow morning. The outward passengers and mails are announced to leave the breastwork at 11.30 a.m., tho Ringarooma steaming for Southern ports and Melbourne shortly after noon. The steamer Kiwi, Capt. Campbell, is expected to arrive here on Monday morning. The Union Company's s.s. Te Anau is to leaye Wellington this afternoon, and is due here about noon to-morrow, sailing for Gisborne and Auckland at 4 p.m. Her Sydney cargo, mails, and passengers, will be transferred to the s.b. Rotorua in Auckland, which vessel proceeds on to Sydney.
