September. 25—Omapere, s.s., for Gisborne and Auckland. Passengers—Miss Kichnrds, Mr and Mrs Clark, Sir G. S. Whitmore, Messrs Combes and Hutchinson (2). 25—Fairy, s.s., for Wellington and the coast. Passengers—Mr Bartolo, Messrs Smith and Reynolds.
The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Omapere left for Northern ports at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon. She is telegraphed as having arrived at Gisborne at 6 o'clock this morning. The steamer Kiwi, Captain Campbell, sailed for Wellington yia the coast at 4.30 p,m. yesterday, taking a cargo of whale oil, wool, tallow, and preserved meats. The schooner Zior, Captain Rotham, has cleared at the Customs for Greymouth in ballast, and expects to get away this afternoon.
The Union Company's s.s. Boojum, Capt. W. Maloney, is to steam for Wairoa at 9 o'clock to-morrow morning, taking passengers and cargo. The ketch Admiral is discharging the balance of the Ringarooma's cargo at the breastwork to-day.

The Merchant Shipping and Underwriter's Association report the arrival of the Duchess of Areyle from Lyttelton (left June 2), Firth of Fourth from Lyttelton (left 19th June), and Mataura from Port Chalmers (left June 12). Melbourne, September 25. Arrived, from London, Messrs Money Wigram's steamship Essex (left July 24).
