LONDON PRODUCE MARKETS.
The following telegram has been received by the local agent of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company from the London office, under date 12th instant:— Wool.—The sales progress firmly. Up to date 159,000 bales hare been sold, and competition by both home and foreign buyers is actire. Wheat. —Market depressed. Adelaide is •worth 495, and New Zealand 463 per 496 lbs. Tallow.—Market firm. Mutton 465, and beef 45s 6d per cvrt. Leather.—Market quiet. Best sides, per lb. New Zealand Hemp.—Market quiet. Kne is worth £29 per ton. [by cable.] London, September 12. Consols are unchanged at 99|-, and New Zealand securities at the following quotations : —Five per cent 10-40 loan, lOoh, exdividend ; five per cent 1889 loan, 106£ ; four and a half per cent 1879-1904 loan, 10H. The wheat market is dull. Adelaide, ex•warehousp, 48s ; New Zealand ditto, 46s to 48s ; Adelaide flour, ex-store, 355. Australian tallow is firm at 45s 6d for best beef, and 46s 6d for best mutton.
