FASHION NOTES.

{ Amorous frog,' ' rosy snow,' c dewy periwinkle,' ' expiring green,' 'comet,' budding love,' 'frothy Clicquot,' and' Bengal fire,' are the singular manies of some of the most fashionable colours in Paris this season.

Among flowers novelties are the immense pansies, daisies, popies, and other aesthetic flowers. They measure from eight to eighteen inches is diameter, are coloured in the most beautiful natural tints, and are arranged with one blossom and from one to three bubs, without foliage. They are intended to fasten skirt draperies, and for corsage bouquets in the smaller sizes. They are not likely to become eomruon as the prices range from 8 dol. to 15 dol. apiece. In the attire of Parisian women, stripes have ousted plaids and checks. The stripes may either be simple or composite—of one colour or many colours. In this matter of colours it is further to be remarked that the ladies now display a perfect craze for yellow, in spite of the symbolical signification —infidelity —attached to that hue in France. At the Longchamps races the ladies hats and dresses displayed every imaginable shade of yellow—gold, saffron, wallflower, buttercup, canary, crocus, and harvest-moon. For the height of style everything about the toilet must beew suite. A suite recently made to order in Paris illustrates thie idea. It consists of a walking dress of fine lustrous tussore in ficelle color, the skirt trimmed with three narrow flounces seperated by ' ficelle ' guipure ; overskirt embroidered with popies and arranged to form two paniers. Tussore boddice with pointed waistcoat of poppyred faille, and trimmed with ' ficelle ' guipure. Bonnet of ' ficelle ' lace with a large bunch of poppies and buds at the side. Parasol covered with frills of ' ficelle ' lace, with a bunch of poppies at the top of the stick and another at the handle of natural wood. Suede gloves to the elbow.
