DUNEDIN.

September 11. It is reported that Edward Marlow, a clerk in the Union Steam Shipping Company's employ, has disappeared. His defalcations are over £200. A warrant has been issued. Mr W. H. Taggart haa purchased Le Loup for 500 guineas. Several of the suburban licensing committees have written to the Colonial Secretary urging that the whole borough should be constituted one district, instead of being divided into three or tour, thus saving time, expense, and inconyenience.
