Australians v. Nottinghamshire,

London, September 4

The Australian cricketers commenced their return match against an eleven of Nottinghamshire at Nottingham to-day. The weather was fine, and a large number of spectators were present. The Australians went in first, but, owing to the excellent bowling and fielding of tbe home team, only made 131. The highest scorer was Murdoch, bowled, 72. He only gave one chance, and hia play was much admired. The home team then went in, aud at the clo3e of the daj's play had lost five wickets for 41 runs.
