TIMARU.

The body of E. W. Tate, commission agent, who has been missing for some days, was found on Saturday on the sea beach near Pack's Point,aboutthreemiles from Timaru. The body was lying on its face and did not look as it it had been in the water. Some think death resulted from a fit. Tate was formerly a resident in Wellington, but had lived here for the last thirteen years. He was greatly respected by all classes of the community. He was about sixty years of age, and leaves a large family. At the inquest at Washdyke on the child Irvine a verdict was returned that it died by being overlaid by its mother.
