August. 31—Boojum, 5.3., from Wairon. Passenger. —Captain Preece, Major Scully, Messrs N. Williams and C. Nash, fire natives, and Constable Cargill and prisoner. September. I—Go-Ahead, s.s., from Wellington via Castle Point. The launch Boojum, Captain Maloney, returned from Wairoa at 11 o'clock last night, bringing a number of passengers. The steamer Go-Ahead, Captain Doile, arrived in the bay from Wellington via Castle Point at about 2 o'clock this morning. She was boarded by the pilot at 5.30 a.m., and brought inside and berthed at the breastwork at 6 a.m. She brings a large cargo for here, consisting of some 180 tons, the principal part of -which comprises the transhipment goods out of the ships City of Tanjore and John Gambles. If she can discharge her cargo in time she "will steam again for Wellington at 4 o'clock this afternoon. The Union Steamship Company's _s.s. Mahinapua, Captain F. Jones, left Wellington at 4.30 p.m. yesterday, with 30 tons of cargo for this port, and should put in an appearance early this afternoon. As there is a probability of her being unable to get a berth inside to-morrow, her agent has decided to have her lightered on arrival, and proceed on her voyage to-night instead of to-morrow afternoon as previously advertised. The outward mails and passengers will be taken off at 4 o'clock this afternoon. The p.s. Manaia left Wairoa at 6 o'clock yesterday morning for Napier via the Mahia, but has not yet put in an appearance. The Union Company's s.s. Te Anau, Capfe. Cary, left Auckland at 12.30 p.m. yesterday, with 20 tons of cargo for here, and is due at daylight in the morning, sailing southwards at 11.30 a.m. The steamer Araw&ta is to leave Wellington this afternoon, and may be looked for to-morrow morning. By advertisement sho is announced to sail for Sydney via Northern ports at 4 o'clock to-morrow afternoon. (by cable.) Melbourne, August 31. Arrived, this morning, Union Company's steamship Rotorua from the Bluff. Sydney, August 31. Sailed, this afternoon, Union Company's steamship Rotomahana for Auckland.
