LONDON.

August 30.

The cargo of frozen mutton ex steamship Austral, amounting to nearly 6000 carcases, has been landed, and is in excellent condition. A portion of the cargo was sold by auction to-day, and realised an average of 6d per pound.

At to-day's wool auction 87,000 bales were catalogued. A less demand was experienced, prices were occasionally easier. Inferior and faulty wools are now rather lower than at the opening.

The Duke of Albany, who was suffering from a severe attack of hermorrhage at Osborne, is, according to the latest bulletin, now rather better.
