There has been a very heavy fresh in the river, which rose suddenly in tbe night. The fresh carried awaf a punt containing a new steam crane just made for using in connection with the dredge. The crane was seen going over the bar, and it is feared has capsized. A number of small boats were carried away, the boat-house stageing broken up, and other damage done.
