Df cember 22. A furious N.W. gale commenced last night, and still continues. No damage as yet is reported. NEW PLYMOUTH. December 22. The Mayor's banquet last niuht was .veil-attended, over one hundred guests being present. Mr Bryce was expected, but was prevented by business from coming. At Urenui on tbe 17th tbe natives kept up the day with a feast, thua observing Te Whiti's custom.
