Nothing but 'i he Products op Pure Malt and Hops, brewed and fermented in a cool atmosphere, and bottled with care. I have examined the Sample of M'Ewin's Hottlhd Alb submitted to me, aud find that it contains - Alcohol by weight, 6 - 40 per cent; or by volume, 655 per cent. Extractive matter, 306 per cent.; Acid matter, o'l7 per cent. I have also examined the Ale for such deleterious , ingredients as are sometimes udded to Beer, and have found no indication of their presence. The three first conditions laid down hy tho Committee for W inks and Bbbhs for the late International Exhibition, as those to which especial prominence would be given, were—lst, Low alcoholic per centage : 2nd, Freedom from acidity ; 3rd Absence of fusel oil; and all these ire fulfilled in th sample.
