Williams, James Haultain, W. A. Kennedy, J. V. Brown, Finneran, Moorhouse, Atkinson, Williams, King, and Adair; Master A. Williams, and 12 natives, beside 155 original. ♦ The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Rotomahana, Captain Underwood, arrived in the roadstead at 6.30 o'clock yesterday morning from Melbourne via Hobarfc and Southern ports. The following is a report of her passage, furnished by Mr C. Hudson, purser: —Left Sandridge railway pier at 4 p.m. on the 7th instant, and arrived at the Bluff at 6.30 p.m. on Sunday, the 11th instant; Bailed from that port at 4.30 p.m. the next day, arriving at Dunedin at 4.30 the next morning ; left Dunedin at 5 p.m. on the 14th instant, arriving at Lyttelton at 9 o'clock the next morning, sailed at midnight the same day and arrived at Wellington at 3 p.m. on the 16th; left Wellington at the same time on the 17th, and arrived in the Napier roads as given above, after a passage of 15J- hours, one of the smartest on record. She had moderate northerly winds up till Saturday the 10th instant, when a strong north-west gale was experienced, which lasted until her arrival at the Bluff ; from thence to this port strong N,W. winds with fine weather. Besides 170 tons of general cargo, she brought 29 pure-bred sheep and a cow, which were lightered by the s s. Sir Donald and ketches Admiral and Three Brothers. She steamed for Northern ports at about 6 o'olock, taking a large number of passengers, 3 bulls, 2 buggies, a spring cart, and other cargo. The s.s. Oreti, Captain Campbell, left for Wellington at about 4 o'clock on Saturday afternoon. The three-masted schooner Mary Wadley, Captain K. Lindfors, arrived from Newcastle, N.S.W., with a cargo of coal, on Saturday afternoon. She reports having made the passage in nine days, and experienced principally fine weather throughout the run. The cutter Clara, Captain Eerney, left for Mohaka on Saturday afternoon, with a fair cargo, and is to return with wool. The s.B. Fairy, Captain Campbell, left for Pourerere last evening for another load of wool. The three-masted schooner Silver Cloud, Capt. Charles Balle, arrived in the roadstead from Newcastle, NAW., on Saturday afternoon. She reports having made the passage in nine days, and having experienced a westerly gale, which carried her mizzen topmast away. She is being lightered of a load of coal by the Vfaid of the Mill to-day, and exppctsto get inside to-morrow morning. The s.s. Sir Donald is to leave for Whangaehu and Blackhead to-night for a load of wool. The "Rotomahana's cargo is being discharged by the lighters at the cattle wharf to-day. The s.s. Kiwi is now hom*ly expected to arrive here. The Union Company's s.s. Boojum is to leave for Wairoa at 12 o'clock on Wednesday. [BY TELEGRAPH. J Christchitrch, December 19. The New Zealand Shipping Company's ship Waimate arrived on Saturday evening from London, after a passage 91 days. She brings 68 passengers, a Clydesdale entire, a trotting entire, six Liecester sheep, and other stock. She had remarkably fine weather during the passage. (by cable.) Sydney, December 19. Arrived, yesterday afternoon, steamship Wakatipu from Wellington.
