The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency report under dato London, 12th December, that the wool sale 3 closed firmly at level of last sales this day. The total quantity sold is 125,000 bales, of which 45,000 bales have been taken for export, and 10,000 bales have been held over for future disposal. Combing scoured has advanced Id per lb since the close of last sales, and for combing washed the market is firmer. The market for coarse eross-breds, both ■washed and scoured, is easier. For lambs the market is also easier. Tallow is in good demand, best mutton being worth £42, and best beef £38 10s.
