A conference of experts has been belt! by order of the Court, at which it was unanimously decided that Guiteau is perfectly cane. Mr James, the United States Post-ma9ter-Genreal, has resigned, aud has been succeeded by Mr Frelinhuyson. Despatches have been published in which Mr Blame, the iSecretary of State, warns Chili and Peru that the working of any European power will produce more jictive intervention on the part of the United States. Mr Blame urges the
two countries to come to a settlement without any cession of territory on the part of Peru being required.
