WELLINGTON.

Some excitement was caused in town to day on a report being circulated that an iniormation had been laid against the Hon. C. J. Pharazyn, M.L.C., for plural voting at the Thorndon election. The information was laid by the returning officer, and it accuses Mr Pharazyn of having voted at the two booths. A slight shock of earthquake was felt at Wanganui aud Wellington at 1 o'clock this morning.
