December. B—Maori, s.s., from Wairoa. PassengersMrs Atward, Miss Jennie Nye and troupe, Messrs Sturm, H. R. Lascelles, Powdrell, H. Ellison, and A. Newton. 9—Oreti, s.s., from Wellington and Lyttelton.

The s.s. Maori, Capt. Anderson, returned from Wairoa yesterday afternoon, bringing a number of passengers and 27 bales of wool. She is to leave again for the same place tonight at 10 o'clock. . ~.«_, The steamer Oreti, Captain Alex 'Campbell arrived in the roadstead about 4 o clock this morning from Wellington and Lyttelton. She was brought inside shortly after arrival by the pilot and berthed at the cattle wharf, where she discharged her cargo, some 60 tons, during the forenoon. She was to have sailed for Gisborne, Tauranga, and Auckland at 8 o'clock this afternoon. The s.s. Sir Donald's departure for the coast last night was postponed on account of the unpromising appearance of the weather. Tbe Union Steam Ship Company's s.s. Boojum was launched off the slip this morning,' and will be ready to resume her usual duties to-morrow. The s.s. Oreti reports that the_ steamer 3_iwi is making an intermediate trip up the coast for wool, and will not arrive here before next week. The Union Company's s.s. Te _ Anau, Capt. Corey, is due here at daylight tomorrow. She brings some 30 tons of cargo here, and will sail for Southern ports and Melbourne at 11 a.m. The s.s. Arawata, Capt. Sinclair, is to leave Wellington at 5 o'clock to-night, and should arrive here in good time to-morrow. She lias 100 tons of cargo for here, which will be lightered by the ketch Admiral and another.
