I have examined the Samflk of M'Ewbi's Rottlbd Alb submitted to mo, aud find tiiat it contains - Alcohol by weight, 5-40 per cent; or by volume, C - 55 per cent. Extractive matter, 306 per cent.; Acid matter, 0 17 per cent. . I have also examined the Ale for such deleterious ingredients as are sometimes added to Beer, and have found no indication of their presence.
