RULES AND REGULATIONS. No entry will be received for any race except upon the condition that all claims, disputes, and objections arising ehall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision upon, all points ehall be final. All protests must be accompanied with a deposit of 2 boys, which sum shall be forfeited to the funds if the protest is not sustained. All nominations, entries, acceptances, &c., accompanied by the necessary amount in cash, must be addressed to the Secretary, and left at Beecroft's Hotel, Hastings, not later than 10 p.m. on the several specified dates. The rules and weights ol tbe Hawke s Bay Jockey Club as in force at the date of the meeting, will be strictly adhered to. Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent, of the stakes. " Hack " shall mean a horse that haa never started in a weight for age or handicap race. And any horse having won a hack race of the value of 10 soys, or more, shall carry 101b extra weight. ALF. T.
