S—Ringarooma, s.s., for Southern ports, Hobarton, and Melbourne. Passengers —Mr and Mrs Irvine, Mrs Edwards and 2 children, Mrs, Miss, and Master Dobson and servant, Miss Lydia Howarde, Messrs H. J. Gunman, Power, Shepperson, Glorian, W. J. Birch, Shimpton, Schlee and Adams.

The Union Steam Ship Company's s.s. Ringarooma, Capt. H. W. H. Chatfield, anchored in the roadstead about 5 o'clock this morning. She reports having left the Auckland wharf at 12.45 p.m. on the Ist ; arrived at Gisborne on the 2nd at 1 p.m ; landed cargo and passengers, and left at 5.45 p.m., reaching here as above. Experienced fine ■weather. Her inward mails and passengers were brought ashore by the s.s. Sir Donald at 1 o'clock, those outward being taken off shortly after 11 o'clock by Torr's launch. Her cargo, some 40 tons, was transhipped to the ketch Three Brothers. The steamer resumed her voyage for Southern ports, Hobart, and Melbourne, at about 1 p.m. The steamers Result and Maori returned from Wairoa with a number of passengers last night. They are expected to sail on Monday morning, the former for Whakamahia, and the latter for Wairoa. The Union Company's s.s. To Anau, Capt. Carey, which left Wellington at 11.30 o'clock last night, was not expected to arrive here until late this afternoon. She brings some 78 tons of cargo for here, which will be lightered by the ketch Admiral. The passengers will be tendered for by Torr's launch, and the sheep will be taken off by the s.s. Result. The s.s. Sir Donald, while out in the bay this morning, broke her crank pin, which, although a trivial thing in itself, will disable ncr from attending the s.s. Te Anau this evening. She will, however, probably get away for the coast on Sunday night. The s.s. Fairy has cleared at the Customs for Te Apiti. The cuttev Clara, Capt. Femey, is to sail for Mohaka to-night, with a load of store*.
