I have examined the Sample of M'Ewra's Rottlbd Alb submitted to me, and find that it contains - Alcohol by weight, 5*40 per cent; or by volume, 6-55 per cent. Extractive maUer, 306 per cent.; Acid matter, 017 per cent. I have also examined the Alb for such deleterious ingredients as are sometimes added to Beer, and have found wo indication of their presence. The three first conditions laid down by the Committee for Wines and Beers for the late International Exhibition, as those to which especial prominence would be given, were—lst, Low alcoholic per centage : 2nd, Freedom from acidity ; 3rd Abeence of fusel oil; and all these ire fulfilled in th Bample. . A LTHOUGH thia office has been in existence for jCjL a period of more than seven years, it is believed that the objects for which it was established are not sufficiently known or understood. It is desired to set forth in a concise form information respecting the business which this office undertakes: 1. The charge of all kinds of money trusts, such as Marriage Settlements, monies to be invested for the benefit of Minors, moneys bequeathed for charitable objects, moneys the title to which is in dispute, or whose legal owner is unknown or cannot be found, etc., etc. 2.
