Chat-field, arrived hero at 11.30 a.m. this day from Melbourne via Southern ports. She was tendered by the ketch Admiral for cargo, the s.s. Hir Donald for horses and cattle, and the s.s. Boojurn for mails and passengers. The following is a report of her passage : — Left Sandridge pier on the 16th at 3.40 p.m., arriving at tho Bluff on the 21st at 12.30 p.m.; sailed at 5 p.m., railing at Port Chalmers on the 22nd, Lytlclton on the 24th, and Wellington on the 25th; left the latter port at 3.40 p.m., reaching Napier at 11.30 a.m. on the 20th. Experienced strong easterly winds with head seas between Melbourne and New Zealand, up the cor.pt a? far as Wellington /me weather, and fresh head winds from thence to arrival. The steamer Eesult loaves for Wairoa at 12 o'clock rtmrp on Sunday night, with passengers and cargo. Tho s.s. Kiwi leaves Wellington this afternoon, and may be looted for on Monday morning. She is expected to havo tbr Manilla's boiler on hoard. The s.s. Maori, Cnn'nin JT. Anderson, leaves for Wairoa at 12 o'clock to-morrow night. The s.s. Sir Donald leaves for Whangaehu on Sunday evening. Tho s.s. Oreti is expected to arrive here by Monday morning. She is announced to steam for Wellington and Lyttelton at ? 5 o'clock this evening. £?5-'-The Boojum is to leave for Wairoa gat G o'clock on Tuesday morning. The s.s. Go-Ahead is expected to arrive here on Wednesday. The Union Company's s.s. Albion is due here from Northern ports at daylight on Monday morning. The Southern passengers by this boat wil be convoyed off by tho Boojum at 9 a.m. The New Zealand Shipping Company's barque Cooleon is expected to dear at the Customs this afternoon. The s.s. Fairy leaves for Elaclthead tomorrow night. The large pimt for carrying the dredging machinery was launched at G. 30 p.m. yestorclay nnd moored in tho Iron Pot. The engines and boiler were fitted into Messrs Torr Brothers new launch yesterday, and a trial trip is to be made this afternoon. fISY CABLE.] New York, November 23. The Merchant Shipping and Underwriter's Association report the arrival of tho ship Eapido from Auckland (sailed August 7). Sydney, November 26. Sailed, yesterday afternoon, Union Company's steamship Wakatipu for Wellington.
