Mr John Gannon, a brother of the candidate for tbe East Coast, horsewhipped Mr Mackay, tbe editor of the Poverty Bay Herald this morning in Gladstone-road for publishing a statement that the name of Mr Gannon could not be found on any baptismal or marriage register.
