The New Zealand Shipping Company's ship Waikato, 1,021 tons registrar, Captain Worster, commander, arrived in the roadstead at 6 o'clock this morning from Port Chalmers which place she left las« Friday. She was boarded by the pilot on arrival, and brought to an anchor inside the ship Hermione. This fine vessel is to succeed the Cooleen on the berth for London. I* The schooner Columbia put back on Saturday afternoon, but sailed again yesterThe schooner Endeavor, Captain James Dick, sailed for Oamaru in ballast yesterday. The Wairoa steamers Result and Maori have not yet left, owing to the southerly wind now blowing. The brigantine Sarah and Mary got a berth at the breastwork this morning, and has commenced to discharge her cargo of

produce. The Union Steam Ship Company s s.s. Albion, Capt. Webster, was to have left Wellington at one o'clock to-day, and in that case will arrive here in good time tomorrow. By advertisement she is announced to sail for Northern ports at 5 o'clock on Tuesday evening. The three-masted schooner, Silver Cloud, •will finish ballasting to-day, and will probably get away for Newcastle to-morrow. The Kotomahana's inward cargo was discharged by the Three Brothers at the breastwork this morning. The s.s. Kiwi which left this port for Wellington via the coast on Thursday night last ran back and anchored under Cape Kidnappers, on Friday, she tried again to proceed, but owing to the strong head wind and sea, put back again to a safe anchorage at 2.30 p.m. yesterday where she still lies waiting a change of wind. A topsail sehoonor running from the South anchored under the Kidnappers early yesterday morning. The Union Company's s.s. Boojum is announced to leave for Wairoa at noon on Wednesday. The s.s. Go-Ahead, Captain Doile, is expected to arrive here to-morrow, from Lyttelton and Wellington. The three-masted schooner Frank Guy has finished discharging, and will take in ballast to-mori'ow.

Messrs Shaw Saville and Co.'s ship Hermione is getting on well with her loading, and is expected to be a full ship by next week.
