Novel Racb—Of 40 soys; the winner co be Bold after the race for 1 soy, the surplus to go to the funds of the Club; weight for age; distance 1 mile; nomination, 1 boy 7. Hack Racb—Of 8 soys, with a sweep of 1 soy each added; once round the course ; post entry. REGULATIONSAll entries to be addressed to the Honorary Secretary H.B. Racing Club, Masonic Hotel, Napier, to contain specified sum, name of owner and colours of the rider. Nominations for Handicap Hurdles, and Pakowhai Handicap to be sent in by 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Gth December, accompanied by a fee of 1 soy for each nomination. Weights to appear on or before 9 p.m. on Wednesday, 14th December. Acceptance without fee by 9 p.m. on Tuesday, 20th December. Nomination ffor Maiden Plate, Christmas Stakes, Trotting Race, and Novel Race, by 9 p.m. on Tuesday, 20th December, with fee of 1 soy for each nomination. Weight for Christinas Stakes to appear on the course after the Pakowhai Handicap is decided. Half forfeits (of 1 soy) to be declared and paid by 12 noon on the day of the race for the following- events or the nominator will be liable for the ■ whole sweepstakes, viz. : Maiden Plate, Pakowhai Handicap, and Handicap Hurdles. Ali sweeps to be paid at scale and to be for starters ODly. Maiden shall mean a horse that has not won an advertised race at time of entry, Steeplechase, Hurdle, Hack races and matches excepted. Hack shall mean a horse that has never started in a weight for ago hapdicap race. Boxing Day Handicap—of 100 soys; distance, one mile and a half; nomination, 2 soys; acceptance, 6 soys. Hack Rack—of 10 soys; distance, 1 mile; no weight under 9 stone; post entrance, 1 soy. Railway Handicap—of 60 soys; distance, threequarters of a mile; nomination, 1 soy; acceptance, 4 soys. Consolation—of — soys; nominations, soy; acceptance — soys; distance, 1 mile. Date of Nominations for all Handicaps December Bth. Date cceptances or a Han caps, December 20th. Date of Entrance for Maiden Plate, December 20th. Weights will appear on December 15th. RULES AND REGULATIONS. No entry will be received for any race except upon the condition that all claims, disputes, and object'ons arising ehall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision upon all points shall be final. All protests must be accompanied with a deposit of 2 soys, which sum shall be forfeited to the funds if the protest is not sustained. All nominations, entries, acceptances, &c, accompanied by the necessary amount in cash, must be addressed to the Secretary, and left at Beecroft's Hotel, Hastings, not later than 10 p.m. on the several specified dates. The rules and weights ol tne Hawke s Hay Jockey Club as in force at the date of the meeting, will be Strictly adhered to. Horses walking over will receive 60 per cent, of the stakes. " Hack " shall mean a horse that has never started in a weight for age or handicap race. And any horse having won a hack race of the value of 10 soys, or more, shall carry 101b extra weight. ALP.
