November 18

The County elections in the Waikaremoana riding resulted in William Moloney polling 87 votes, Alexader Ross Duff 80, John Couper 81, Thomas Tanks 35, and Thomas J. Steel 13. The first three were elected. For the Mohaka riding Adam Hassell, John Sim, and R. N. Strachan, polled 38 each, William Balfour 34, and John Hawkins 10. The first three were elected.

Judge Heale opened the Native Land Court this morning, and proceeded at once with sucession claims.
