November, 7. Percy Lefroy Mapleton, who was arrested on the charge of murdering Mr Gold on the Brighton railway in July last, has been sentenced to death. Obituary.—Tbe Most Reverend John McHall, D.D., Catholic Bishop of Tuam, Ireland, aged 90. The homeward mail via Suez and Brindisi, which left Melbourne on the 28th Sept. were delivered here to-day.
