s—Fairy, s.s., from Mangakuri. ' s—Sir Donald, s.s., from Capo Turnagain 6—Venus, ketch, from Mercury Bay. y—Oreti, s.s., from Gisborne and Auckland.

Tho _.toh Venus, Captain J. King, arrived from Mercury Bay yesterday morning, after a fine weather passage of five days. Her cargo consists of sawn timber consigned to Mr Robert Holt, which she is discharging at the breastwork to-day.| The s.s. 'Maori, Captain Anderson, will leave for Wairoa on Tuesday night at 11 o'clock.' The steamer Fairy, Capt. John Campbell, returned from Mangakuri late on Saturday night, with 118 dumps of wool, which she transhipped to the Cooleen this morning. She is to leave to-night for Blackhead. The steamer Sir Donald arrived from Whangaehu (Cape Turnagain) late on Saturday night with a load of wool, which she transhipped to the Hermione this morning. She leaves again to-nighfc for Waimarama.

The s.s. Oreti, Capt. Alex. Campbell, arrived here this morning from Gisborne and Auckland, and was brought straight inside and moored afc the breastwork, where she discharged her cargo during the morning, consisting of about 20 tons of general goods, and a boat for Messrs T. and W. H. Torr. She is to be taken outside at one o'clock, but will wait till five o'clock before iesuming her.voyage for Wellington and Lytttelton.

The s.s. Result, Captain W. E. Baxter, is to leave for Wairoa to-night afc ten o'clock, taking passengers and cargo. The ketch Three Brothers discharged her cargo, transhipped. out of the Arawata on Saturday, at the breastwork this morning.

The ketch Admiral discharged cargo transhipped ex tho Wave Queen at the breastwork this morning. s.s; AlbTon~is~to leave Wellington to-morrow afternoon for here.

By the s.s. Oreti, which came in this morning, a large boat arrived, consigned to Messrs T. and W. H. Torr, of Petane, which is to be fitted with the engines and boiler lately imported from Wellington. She is built by Messrs T. and W. Carr and Sons, of Auckland, and is to take the place of the Esk, so as to meet the growing requirements of the Petane trade. (by telegraph.) Wellington-, November 7. The s.s. Australia, with the London mails of the 6th tiltimo, left 'Frisco for Auckland on tbe 22nd instant, her contract date. The c.a. City of New York, with the October colonial mails, arrived at 'Frisco on tbe Ist instant, two days in advance of her timetable date. Westpokt, November 7. Captain Williams' new steamer Westport arrived here from Cardiff at 10.30 this morning, after a 62 day's passage. She brings ten passengers, all well, and sails for Wellington to-morrow morning. The steamer Kennedy has arrived from Cars well Sound.
