No entry will be received for any race except upon the condition that all claims, disputes, and objections arising shall be decided by tbe Stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision upon all points shall be final. All protests must be accompanied with a dcpbsit of 2 soys, which sum shall be forfeited to the funds if the protest is not sustained. All nominations, entries, acceptances, &c, accompanied by the necessary amount in cash, must be addressed to the Secretary, and left at Beecroft's Hotel, Hastings, not later than 10 p.m. on the several specified dates. The rules and weights of the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club as in force at the date of the meeting, will' be strictly adhered to. Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent, of the stakes.
