A CORRECTION.

[To the Editor of the Daily Teleoeaph.] g IR> —A correspondent to your paper of October 27, in reporting Mr Dillon's meeting at Kaikora, has made a slight mistake. At reported I am made to propose a vote of confidence in Mr Dillon ; this is not correct. I proposed a vote of thanks, which was seconded by Mr 6. Berry, for Mr Dillon's satisfactory statement with reference to the opening of a new road through Messrs Tod, .Howard, and White's properties to Tamumu. The proposed vote of confidence came from Mr J. Nicholson, seconded by Mr Newbold.— I am, &c, James Lawrence. Homewood, 28th October, 1881.
