The Cary Company in " The Sorcerer " at the Theatre Royal to-night at 8. The Napier Temperance Mutual Improvement Society will meet this evening. Messrs Banner and Liddle will sell on the 28th October a suburban section at Mennee. It is notified that the general meeting of the National Insurance Company -will be held in Dunedin on the 16th November. The Napier Rifle Volunteers will hold recruit drill this evening at 8. Messrs Blythe and Co. have parachutes cheap, also a large lot of new goods ex Zealandia. The slaughter-house bye-laws are advertised. Tenders are required by the H.B. County Council for forming about 32 chains of road. A rate of 6d in the £ has been struck on all property in the Havelock Highway District. Tho Napier Volunteer Fire Brigade meet this evening at 8 o'clock. The Clydesdale sire Bothwell stands this season at Hastings. The sale of timber advertised by Banner and Liddle to take place to-morrow at 11 a.m., is further postponed to Tuesday next at the same hour. In consequence of Mr Eemsley, tailor, relinquishing the sale departmont of his business, he is now selling off his stock of goods. A number of new advertisements will bo found in our " Wanted " column.
