October 18. Mr McMinn to-day formally notified his candidature for the Waipa seat. Mr Fantbam proceeded to-day en route with three pure bred Shorthorn bulla for exhibition at the Canterbury show. Tawbiao and Rewi's people are still busy putting in potatoes. 1 hey have now twelve ploughs at work in the township and at Mangapiko.
