Public Notice. TO THE ELECTORS AND INHABITANTS OF NAPIER AND SURROUNDING DISTRICTS. Ladies and Gentlemen — I take this early opportunity of announcing my return from Markets. Having personally selected a CHOICE STOCK OF NEW SPRING- GOODS, together with a large parcel of Men's, Youths', aud Boys' Clothing of a superior quality, all of which MUST BE CLEARED OUT AT ONCE, Regardless of Cost. This I'm compelled to do, as I have been advised by this mail of a Large Stock of SPRING AND SUMMER GOODS, specially selected for me in Glasgow, London and Manufacturing districts, and shipped per the Peninsular and Oriental mail steamer which left London on the 29th July. These Goods I did not expect for two months yet; but as they are coming by Mail Steamer, should arrive here in a week or so. This will make my Stock much larger than it ought to be : consequently I must clear out the New Goods I have just opened up, at extraordinary LOW PRICES. All my new Prints will be cleared out at 6d, Bd, and 10d, worth from 2d to 4d per yard more. All my new Dress Goods will be cleared out at 6d, Bd, 10d, and Is ; worth 4d to 6d per yard more. The charge of all kinds of money trusts, such as Marriage Settlements, monies to be invested for the benefit of Minora, moneys bequeathed for charitable objects, moneys the title to which is in dispute, or whose legal owner is unknown or cannot be found, etc., etc. 2. The administration of the wills of persons who by appointing the Public Trustee as their executor secure the guarantee of the State for the due fulfilment of their wishes, and avoid the risk consequent en the appointment of private persons as executors, who not unf requently, though earnestly desirous of acting for the benefit of the parties interested, fail to carry out legally the objects for which they were appointed, and consequently involve themselves and those whose interests they are striving to protect in costly and harrassing litigation. 3. The administration of all estates of which no disposition has been made by will, whenever relatives do not wish to incur the responsibility of administration, or cannot from any cause obtain the necessary powers to act. In such cases it is the duty of the Public Trustee to discharge all legal debts so far as the assets extend, and divide the residue amongst the next of kin; 4. The administration of the estates of lunatics, lunatic patients, and convicts. 6. The charge of lands lying waste and unoccupied of which the owner is unknown, or who has been absent from the colony for ten years, having left no known agent.
