MR MACDONALD AT FRASERTOWN.

[bt telegeaph.J

(FBOM OtTR OWN CORKESPONDENT.) Wairoa, October 8.

Mr Allan Macdonald addressed the electors of Frasertown last night. Mr Tunks occupied the chair, and about eighty were present. Mr Macdonald went over the same ground as at Wairoa, advancing nothing new. He referred to the telegram from the Premier read at the Clyde meeting, and said it would be answered in its place.

Replying to questions, Mr Macdonald rather sat upon Mr Locke's party, who were in strong force from Wairoa, headed by the County Chairman and the County Clerk.

A vote of confidence was proposed by Mr Roberts, and seconded by Mr Wnit6eld, to which an amendment was proposed by Mr Gray, seconded by the County Chairman.

A show of hands was taken, the chairman declaring the numbers to be 25 for the motion, and 22 for the amendment. The result was received with cheers, and was not unexpected by the supporters of Mr McDonald and Captain Porter. The Locke party appeared very crestfallen. Mr McDonald speaks a"t Mohaka tonight.
