A laborer named John Robinson, who has been working at Jackson's, on the Christcburch road, aeked the driver of a coach for a lift while crossing the Taipoi river yesterday afternoon. He fell out on his head, and was drowned before his absence was noticed. The body was brought to Kumara, where an inquest will De held to-day.
