MR LOOKE AT FRASERTOWN.
(by telegraph.)
(from our own correspondent.)
W-airoa, September 24. Mr Locke addressed a meeting of electors at Frasertown last night. There were not more than thirty-five present, Mr A. Duff being in the chair. Mr Locke went over the same ground as at Clyde on Thursday sight, but did not speak for the same length. A vote of confidence proposed by Mr Goldston, and seconded by Mr Brown, was carried.
The supporters of Captain Porter and Mr McDonald declined on this occasion, to oppose a tote of confidence, as they consider it premature, and that, by allowing such to be carried against the wish of the large body of electors who represent influence, the cause of Mr Locke will be damaged considerably.
