DUNEDIN.
September 22. The Chief Justice has quashed Mr Watt's conviction in the case of the police v. Waters, holding that to supply liquor on Sunday without consideration was no offence under the licensing ordinance. A new trial was granted in the case of Seaborne v. Wilson.
Mr W. J. Dyer ia a candidate for the representation of Bruce.
