MELBOURNE
September 20. The Victorian Parliament reassembled to-day. A case of what is believed to be smallpox is reported from Yokakandinab, in the north-east of this colony. The symptoms so far are mild, but the patient has been isolated.
An enquiry into tbe Jolimont railway accident has resulted in the finding that the same was due to the dangerous condition of the tire of the wheel. The Court further found that the management of the Hobson's Bay railway was very lax, bat could not fix upon any individual responsibility. The Duchess filly is now first favorite for the Melbourne Cup at 10 to 1.
