Tuesday. The Council met at 2.30 p.m. BrLLS. 1 The Railways Construction and Land /' Bill was read a third time and passed, on a division by 16 to 14. The Deceased Persons Estate Duty Bill was read a second time. The Council adjourned at 5 o'clock, and resumed at 7.30. BILLS. Tne Property Assessment Bill was read a second time. The Neglected and Criminal Children Bill was read a third time. The Divorce and Matrimonial Causes Bill passed through committee. In committee on the Deceased Persons Estates Bill a motion was carried that the Chairman leave the chair. Mr Whitaker gave notice that he would move to reinstate the bill. The Council rose at 8.50.
