Nothing but tub Products of Pubb Malt and Hops, brewed and fermented in a cool atmosphere, and bottled with careAdmirers of first-class Biltish Beer may uce this brand as at present offered for sale without disappointment. I have examined the Samplk of M'Ewra's Bottled Alb submitted to me, and find that it contains — Alcohol by weight, 540 per cent; or by volume, 6*55 per cent. Extractive niaUer, 300 per cent.; Acid matter, 0 - 17 per cent. I have also examined the Alb for such deleterious ingredients as are sometimes added to Beer, and have found 110 indication of their presence. The three first conditions laid down by the Com-, mittee for Wines and Beers for the late International Exhibition, as those to which especial prominence would bo given, wore—lst, Low alcoholic per centage : 2nd, Freedom from acidity ; 3rd Absence of fusel oil; and all these are fulfilled In this sample.
