It has transpired that Cherif Pasha has definitely declined the call of the Khedive that he should accept the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. He informed His Majesty that he could not consent to submit to the dictation of the military. The crisis in this country continues to increase, and the mutineers in the army are now assuming a most menacing attitude.
