WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 1881

(Before H. Eyre Kenny, Esq., K.M.)

The Comt was opened at 10.30 a.m. The legal profession was represented by Messrs Cornford, Lee, and Guy. Farrell v. Ebbett.—Claim £7 10s. The clerk stated that the amount had been paid into Court this morning. His Worship gave judgment for counsel's fee and plaintiffs expenses. Wilding and Bull v. Luckie.-—Claim £11 10s for shingles supplied. Judgment •was given 'for 'amount, with costs, and counsel's fee of £1 Is. Clark v. Flood. —Claim for pos session of dwelling-house occupied by defendant at Kaikora, the property of plaintiff, also for rent arrears £8. Judgment for plaintiff, posseasion of premises to be given up and arrears of rent paid by Saturday, 10th instant. C. Harding v. Downie—Claim £5 2s, for suit of clothes. Judgment for plaintiff, with costs and counsel's fee Same v. Gilpin— Claim £4 6s, for clothing supplied. Judgment for plaintiff, with costs and counsel's fee. Drower v. Nielsen—Claim £50. Adjourned to Kopua sitting of Court on 14th instant.

J. Harding v. Mirbaob—Claim £12 2s,

for damage caused by defendant's dogs to sheep, the property of plaintiff. Exhaustive evidence was taken in the case, and finally judgment was given for £9 in favor of plaintiff, with all costs, both present and former hearing, and counsel's fee.

Driver v. Glendinning.--Claim £14 3s for timber supplied. On the application of plaintiff's solicitor (Mr Guy) a nonsuit was granted, to enable him to have a rebeariug of the case, and provide an important witness who was absent today. Mr Cornford, counsel for defendant, applied to have the case heard at Napier, which was granted, Tuesday next being fixed by the Court as the date for hearing. Mirbach v. Guy. — Claim £12 12s. Mr Guy submitted that he held a lien over the amount claimed, having a bill of costs against plaintiff. This statement being substantiated, a verdict was given in favor of defendant.

Guy v. Mirbach.—Claim £27 Is 9d, being bill of costs. After some discussion it was mutually agreed between Mr GuV and the counsel for defendant (Mr Lm) that the bill be referred to the Rmfistrar for taxation.
