The s.s. Fairy, Capt. Jas. Campbell, returned from Waikari at about 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon, having landed her cargo. She is now loading for Mahia, Whangawhei, and Mohaka,_ and leaves tomorrow night, weather permitting. The three-masted schooner Mary Wadley, 2L Lindfors, mr,sier, will be towed outside nt 4 o'clock tbis afternoon by the s.s. Sir Donald, and sail for Westport (Buller) in ballast. The steamer Go-Ahead, Capt. Done, is due here to-night or early to-morrow morning from Dunedin via Southern ports, and will sail again for the same places at about 5 p.m. to-morrow. The s.s. Maori leaves for Wairoa at 6 o'clock to-morrow morning, with passengers and cargo. The s s. Kiwi's departure from Wellington has been postponed until 5 o'clock tonight, and she will now be due here at daylight on Thursday morning. The ketch Jessie, Edward Quinlan, master, sailed for Gisborne last evening, ■with 25 tons of coal transhipped ex the Mnry Wadley, and 15 tons of limestone. The steamer Oreti, Capt. Campbell, is expected to nrrive here from Auckland on Friday morning. The topsail schooner Marmion, Captain Johnston, expels to sail for Kaipara in ballot this afternoon.

[BY CABLE.] London, September 3. The Merchant Shipping and Underwriter's Association report the arrival of the ship Frnnoe Cherie from Lyttelton (sailed May 14) Melbourne, September 6. Arrived, this morning, P. and 0. Company's steamship Cothay, with the Suez mails, which left London on July 29.
