The ketch Jessie, Captain Edward Q.ninlan, arrived from Gisborne this morning, n rough passage. She brings a few hogsheads of ale, and is to return with a load of coal. The s.s. "Rotomahana, 17?7 tons, Captain T. Underwood, arrived in the roadstead at 1.10 a.m. The following is a report of her passage, for which we thank Mr O. Hudson, her purser :—Left Melbourne on the 23rd nit.; called at Hobart on the 25th, leaving asain on same date for BlufJ; arrived on the 29th ; reached Port Chalmers on the 30th; sailing again on the 31st for Lyttleton, at which port she arrived on the following morning at daylight, sailing on same date for Wellington, arriving on the 2nd at 8 a.m.; left again for Napier at 8 p.m., arriving as above. Had strong N.W. and S.W. wind tip to Port Hmlmers, and from thence moderate northerly winds with fine weather. She brought some 40 tons of cargo for here, which was lightered by the ketch Admiral. By advertisement she is to steam for A urk]anrl at 4 oVlonk this afternoon, and will hiVp. on rim. 200 shppp for the Aih-lr'nnd mai-lrpt. jind 20 merino rams from <'i- flor-V of Mr TTnsrh Cnmpbell, Poukawa., for trMnshipmcnt to Honolulu. The Union Pt«»n.m Ship Company's s.s. "Rofoi-iw, ,7. Tozer master, arrived in t)te roadefend at 6 o'clock this morning from Northern ports. We tlmnk Mr Qγ. D. Macfnrlane, her purser, for the following report:—Left Auckland at 11 am. on Thursdny, passing Cape Colville at 2 p.m., and arriving in GHsborne at noon yesterday ; left again at fi p.m., ai'riving as above. Experienced fine weather. She brought about 15 tons of cargo for here, and a new yacht for Me«srs Weber and Thompson. The launch "Roojum took the outward passengers off at 11.30 a.m., and the "Rotorua steamed for Southern ports, Hobarfc, and Melbourne, at 12.20 p.m.
