September 3. The City Council advertise the sale of absentees sections to take place on October 24th. The total area amounts to 250 acres. The Guardian announces that Captain Porter has definitely decided to stand for the East Coast at the next election. The lecture and limelight exhibition in the County Hall last night by the Rev. Mr Hill in aid of the funds of the local cricket club waa well attended.
