AIIQVSt. 81_Rpsti1r, s.s., for Wairoa,-with two passengers. September. I—Erank Guy, three-masted schooner, for Newcastle, N.S.W. Passengers—Mr and Mrs Sterry and three children, Messrs .T. McNeill and Skinner. The steamer Oreti, Cupt. James Campfvll, arrived here at 8 o'clock this morning from Auckland and Gisborne, and -was immediately afterwards brought, inside and berthed at the cattlr wharf, where she discharged her cargo, some 25 tons, during the morning. She reports having left Gisborne at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon ; rounded Port 1 ! Island at 7 p.m., and from thence experienced a very heavy S.S.W. gale until about 4 o'clock' this morning, when it lulled. She is to sail again for the same places at 7 o'clock this evening. The s.s. Result left for Wairoa at about eleven o'clock last nieht, taking a good cargo and two passengers. TI-ip t-brpp-ma?tP(l schooner Erank Guy, Oapt. . T ."P. Balle, was towed outside by the p.p. Pir TVnald nt 12.15 p.m. to-day, and sailed for Newcastle, N.S.W., with seven passengers. Just as the Sir Donald was castinr off from her, by some mismanagement fhe got under the Frank Guy's jibboom, which carried her mizzenmast away. It is thought that the tow line got wound round her propeller, as she come % anchor after the nccident. The brigantine Linda Weber, Capt. G. Pell, arrived at the anchorage last evening from Whangaroa, with a full load of bulk and sawn timber for Mr Robert Holt. She reports having left that place on Friday last, and has experienced heavy westerly weather throughout the run. The s.s. Kiwi was expected to have arrived from Oisborne this morning, but had no < «,.( -•„ . in appearance up to the time we Vent to press. The rcivp-nmsred schooner Mary Wad ley, Capt. K. Lindfers, arrived at the anchorage at 1.30 p.m. yesterday from Newcastle, N. q .W., and was towed inside by the s.s. Pir Donald this morning and berthed at the breastwork. She reports having left Newcastle at 4.30 p.m. on the 18th instant, with light northerly winds, lasting till the 23rd, when she encountered a heavy easterly gale with lightening and rain, which lasted for ahout six hours; thence light-variable weather till the 28th instant, when rounding the North Cape ; from bhence heavy westerly weather till arrival.

Adelaide, August 81. The Orient Company's steamship Liguria, which left Plymouth on July 23, arrived here this morning. Alba-ny, Angst 31. The P. and O. Company's steamer Cathay arrived in King George's Sound this afternoon, with the inward Suez mail, dated London July 29.
